Well, it only takes me almost three years and a global pandemic to realize that I still have a blog. If there is somebody out there reading this, I hope you are healthy and well. This too, shall pass. A lot has happened since my last post.
After college, I packed my bags and moved to San Francisco. I started my first job; found an apartment; moved to a new apartment; decided to switch things up even more and found a new job, one that I luckily enjoy as much as the previous one; ran SF half marathon and Bay to Breakers with my mom; scaled Half Dome; went to Outside Lands; saw the Nutcracker SF ballet; drove up to North Bay for weekend trips; hosted quite a few visiting old friends and showed them around the city; discovered one of the great loves of my life that is Salt and Straw.
All those random memories and small life milestones, alongside old and new friends in the area to share them with, have really made me grow fonder of the Bay and make it feel more like home every day.
Looking back, I realized how lucky I am to be where I am today. Even more so in times like this, when being able to work from home and feeling bored is nothing less than a privilege.
Trying to make use of this quarantine, I have been revisiting old enjoyments that haven’t been getting much love – this blog being one of them. Reading some of my old posts, I realized how (a.) much I enjoyed writing about and being able to look back at my past experiences, and (b.) bad I am at sticking to my hobbies.
This is a long-winded way of saying hello again, but hopefully I’ll stick around this time. Stay home, stay safe, and don’t forget to wash your hands.
Currently reading: Travelers. Quoted from its back cover: “Turn these (the pages), and they’ll take you around the world”.
